Welcome to the Neural Control of Force Production and Movement Lab Site

How does the nervous system interact with the muscle to produce force and movement?  Does the nervous system attempt to match the way in which the muscle is activated according to the force producing capability of the muscle?

These broad research questions form the main research themes of our lab and are addressed under a variety of conditions: muscle fatigue, postural activity, recovery from stroke, and patellofemoral pain syndrome.
